It's always exciting to install Firefox on a new machine and watch the browser load speedily, unimpeded by the clutter of extensions, themes, plugins and toolbars. The question necessarily arises: which addons to install? Out of all the bells and whistles available, which extensions are first on the list? Well, for me it has to be Foxmarks. Now I can download all my stored bookmarks from the server and my new browser is up and running. For peace of mind, I sync to an ftp server - DriveHQ is my preferred choice in this regard and it provides a basic 1gb service for free. But hang on a mo - what's this? My bookmarks toolbar looks a right mess - so many links and folders have created a snaking drop down list stretching off the bottom of the browser. Well, my next essential addon is Smart Booksmarks Bar - suddenly my toolbar is a blaze of icons. And I'm happy. If only I could keep Firefox like this -snappy with just two addons! Now, let me see....
